PM Nawaz visit tomorrow Kazakhstan ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz is scheduled to visit Kazkhstan on August 25 (tomorrow) on a two-day visit upon the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Äbishuly Nazarbayev, said a statement issued by the Prime Minister House.
A high-level delegation will accompany Premier Nawaz Sharif to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Pakistan was among the first few countries that recognised and established diplomatic relations with Kazakhstan after its independence in December 1991 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
The prime minister’s visit to Kazakhstan is reflective of his vision to enhance and strengthen Pakistan’s relations with Central Asian republics, said the handout.
A number of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed between the two countries during the premier’s visit, after which he will return to Pakistan on August 26.
During the visit to Astana, Nawaz will hold meetings with President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov. The leaders will discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
