IN DERA GHAZI KHAN Road traffic link between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can not be restored even 48 after hours 300-foot portion of the Indus highway was swept away from both sides of Khud Buzdar bridge by a hill torrent from Wahowa, 190km from here in Taunsa Sharif tehsil of the district.
A high flood from Wahowa-Kaura mountainous area eroded 300ft long portion of the highway on both sides of the bridge. The flood has also inundated over five villages.
The district government had established a good relief camps for flooded people.
Landsliding Following continuous downpour on Sulaiman Range, a landslide blocked the Dera-Quetta road linking Balochistan with Punjab. The landslide occurred on Saturday evening near Rakhi Gaaj tribal area.
